To register for the examination of the CSCS, you must subscribe to a BA or BS degree from a school, college or university accredited by one of the following : State Media Association , New England Association , North Central Association , Association South West Association and Association of the West.
If you are a senior, you must prove that you are currently enrolled in an accredited institution . Their test results and the results will not be released until it is able to produce a transcript that is found to have graduated from an accredited institution.
The CSCS exam
The CSCS exam consists of two sections that will test your knowledge of strength and conditioning .
In the first section, the scientific basis , will contain 80 multiple choice questions that measure knowledge in exercise science , such as anatomy, exercise physiology , bioenergetics , biomechanics and acute and chronic adaptations the aerobic and anaerobic exercise , and nutrition . You will receive 1 ½ hours to respond :
or 58 questions on exercise science
and
or 22 questions about nutrition .
In the second part , the practical part or have applied 110 multiple choice questions on program design , exercise techniques , testing and evaluation and organization and management. You will receive 2 ½ hours to respond :
or 40 questions on a video that your exercise jurisdiction techniques, functional anatomy and testing procedures will be evaluated
or 78 questions based on the exercise technique and program design 1
or 10 questions based on the organization and management and
or 22 questions based on testing and evaluation.
